Hey there! How’s everything going on your end?!
Over the past few months since my last email, I’ve been working hard on recording new episodes of my new podcast (The Scripting Den Podcast), and I thought you might be interested in some of the topics I’ve covered in the various episodes.
Since my last email (which was 2 months ago!) I’ve been recording episodes, on a weekly basis, some of them are just me rambling about one particular topic, and for others, I’ve managed to find poor souls willing to join me and get interviewed by me.
So there is something for everyone!
If you’re not subscribed to the podcast on any of the podcasting platforms out there, or on YouTube, then here’s what you’ve been missing:
Episode 5 covers the topic of changing companies to get a raise / promotion. Whether you should consider it or not.
Episode 6 covers some insights from my 20 years of experience in the software industry.
Episode 7 talks about 3 non-coding skills that will actually make you stand out as a developer (crazy, isn’t it?).
Episode 8 is an interview with Ivan Fresneda (ex-Google, ex-Amazon, and other companies), where we talk about the relationship between analytics and user feedback. Very insightful conversation!
Episode 9 goes a bit more technical and covers 3 very common bad practices for unit testing and why you should avoid them.
Episode 10 covers 4 ways in which you can improve your coding skills.
Episode 11 is yet another interview, this time around with Lucas da Costa (ex-maintainer of ChaiJS and SinonJS and now founder of his own company). Here we talk about the journey from a developer into founder and what it takes.
Episode 12 covers 5 lies that many gatekeepers like to tell within our industry.
And there are more episodes already recorded and waiting to be published, so make sure you subscribe to the channel or find the podcast on your favorite podcasting app, so you don’t miss new episodes!
What topics would you like me to cover? Or even better, would you like to be a guest on the podcast? What experiences would you like to share and what advice would you have for our listeners? If you can answer those questions, reach out to me over Twitter DM, and let’s talk about it!
